Tuesday, 14 June A tour of one of the oldest and most attractive garden cities in Berlin. Freie Scholle is a cooperative founded in 1895 and designed by noted architects such as Gustav Lilienthal and Bruno Taut.
Friday, 17 June A summer afternoon on Peacock Island (Pfaueninsel). See a picturesque summer castle and royal “pleasure dairy” in Gothic-ruin style (exteriors only), gardens with fine specimen trees, roses, peacocks, and perhaps a glimpse of the water buffalo that help tend the grounds.
Saturday, 18 June Enjoy the rose garden in Bürgerpark Pankow, visit the music pavilion, stroll along the river Panke and treat yourself to drinks and snacks in the cafe/ beer garden afterward.
