Do your New Year’s resolutions include keeping fit, seeing more of Berlin, reading more, or just enjoying the company of friends? Our activities can help with all of these resolutions!

GET OUT AND EXPLORE

Tuesday, 9 January Our Art & Architecture group visits the House on Lützowplatz and Its current exhibition, “The Bad Mother”. The Chairman of the Art Association of this museum will tell us about its interesting background, and the artistic director and curator of the current exhibition will introduce us to its concept—an artistic exploration of the expectations placed on motherhood—and will show us around.

Tuesday, 30 January The above-ground section of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is probably familiar to most of us, but have you been to the “Place of Information” underneath the field of steles? We will visit its exhibition, documenting the persecution and extermination of the European Jews.

EAT, DRINK, AND ENJOY

Wednesday, 10 January The annual New Year’s Coffee of the North-East Neighbourhood Group takes place, complete with traditional cakes, one of which hides a coffee bean … Who will be the Bean Queen for the new year?

Thursday, 18 January An Italian evening is on offer for us in the Westend neighbourhood of Berlin. Mama Trattoria provides traditional Italian flavours as well as a selection of vegan dishes, wholemeal and lactose-free alternatives, gluten-free pizza, and pasta.
