Tours and Talks
Tuesday, 2 July Monthly Meeting, this month with a presentation by Kerstin Doerenbruch, a university lecturer, author of the thriller Total Reset and member of the supervisory board of Greenpeace Germany.
Tuesday, 16 July After-work drinks and snacks, and an engaging expert talk on how to overcome self-limiting beliefs and make progress towards important goals.
Friday, 26 July A visit to the garden of Karl Foerster, a famous German gardener, born 150 years ago. Foerster developed many new varieties of flowers and exercised a significant influence on the design of modern gardens.
Food, Drink, and Friends
Thursday, 4 July The Berlin district of Wilmersdorf celebrates its partnership with the Rheingau-Taunus district in Hesse, famous for its wines. Enjoy a summer evening in Rüdesheimer Platz at wine-tasting stands with wines from the Rheingau-Taunus region.
Friday, 12 July Lunch in Mariendorf at an Italian restaurant whose owner tells us: Corpo e anima mantiene cibo insieme, which means, ‘Eating and drinking keeps body and soul together’. A good motto!
Saturday, 13 July BIWC Summer Party–dinner and drinks at a historic location in central Berlin.
Thursday, 18 July Lunch at Ristorante Cumberland, one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city. Nine chefs from all over Italy followed the manager to Berlin to offer their interpretations of classic Italian cuisine.
Thursday, 25 July Early evening at the Cafe am Neuen See in Tiergarten: we will be sitting under tall old linden and oak trees with a romantic lake view of the Tiergarten, and everyone will be dressed in white!

Monday, 29 July The Afternoon Book Group discusses Anxious People by Swedish writer Fredrik Backman.
Film Buffs meets on an ad hoc basis, at times convenient to participants, to go to the cinema together.
Stay Fit With Walking Groups
Saturday, 6 July A hike around Schlosspark Babelsberg and on into Potsdam city centre. The park, a Unesco World Heritage site, was created in rolling terrain sloping down towards the Tiefen See (lake) on the River Havel.
