We are sad to hear that Thora is retiring as Coordinator of the Morning Book Group. She founded the group in 1995 and has hosted it in her home in Berlin-Nikolassee ever since, in the sunroom or on the terrace overlooking her garden.
We enjoyed her hospitality and the lively discussions on a wide variety of books from many countries. These were proposed by members of the group who came from Australia, India, Pakistan, England, Canada, Russia and the USA. We thus got to know other cultures and peoples through their literature.
We want to thank her sincerely for her 25 years of dedication to this book group and to the BIWC in general and wish her all the best.
