Friday, 16 August A guided tour of the exhibition Modigliani: Modern Gazes at the Barberini Museum in Potsdam. Learn why his portraits and nudes have become icons of modern art!
Food, Drink, and Friends
Thursday, 1 August The Berlin district of Wilmersdorf celebrates its partnership with the Rheingau-Taunus district in Hesse, famous for its wines. Enjoy a summer evening in Rüdesheimer Platz at wine-tasting stands with wines from the Rheingau-Taunus region.
Wednesday, 7 August Enjoy an evening at the Eiffel Restaurant on Kurfürstendamm, with a wide selection of German and international dishes.
Books and Films
Wednesday, 14 August The Biographies Book Group discusses The Orientalist by Tom Reiss, the search for the identity of the man who re-invented himself several times–born in Baku in a well-to-do Jewish family, later a convert to Islam and a best-selling author in Berlin.
Monday, 26 August The Afternoon Book Group will discuss James by Percival Everett–a retelling of the Huckleberry Finn story from the viewpoint of the escaped slave Jim.
Film Buffs meets on an ad hoc basis, at times convenient to participants, to go to the cinema together.
Stay Fit With Walking Groups
Saturday, 17 August A hike along the beautiful wetlands of Tegeler Fließ (creek) in Northwest Berlin. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to see the water buffaloes that, over the summer months, help conserve these wetlands.

The Club has multiple Mah Jong groups that play regularly, as well as a crafts group that meets at participants’ convenience.
